Ranisain & East Saipal Base Camp Trek Highlights
Ranisain (located in Himali Rural Municipality, Bajura District) is one of Far-West Nepal's most exquisite and undiscovered alpine frontiers. Featuring an incredible 8 km wide meadow along the Kawadi River and dramatic views of Mount Saipal (7,031 m), this trek leads you to Nepal's lowest base camp (3,500 m) without the severe altitude risks of typical 7,000m peak treks. Experience untouched wilderness, ancient nomadic pastures, and rich Himalayan biodiversity.

Practical Planning & Preparation
- Permits & Documentation: TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) card and local rural municipality entry permits required.
- Logistics & Camping: Ranisain has minimal teahouse infrastructure past Yuna. A guide, porter team, and full camping gear (tents, stoves, food supplies) are highly recommended.
- Best Gear to Carry: 4-season sleeping bag (-10°C rated), waterproof hiking boots, windproof jacket, water purification tablets, and satellite/offline GPS navigation.
- Safety Note: High-altitude domestic flights in Far-West Nepal (Kolti) are weather-dependent. Always keep a buffer day in Kathmandu.
